L. R.
Good & Son, Inc. was formed in 1901 by Lemuel Randall Good. Lemuel
showed keen understanding of future technological developments, but unfortunately,
his interest in software development went largely unrewarded since he died
thirty years before the advent of the personal computer. In order
to pay the bills, Lemuel bought a grain elevator in Bloomdale, a small
Ohio farming community. Under Lemuel, his son and grandson the elevator
prospered. In the mid fifties they sold the grain elevator for a
tidy profit. Thirty-Five short years later, the great grandson of
Lemuel, Gary W. Good, went back to Lemuel's first love and redirected the
company into the development and sale of software products. Shortly
after this redirection, Gary widened the mission to include the development
of application software for corporate clients. |
